LOS ANGELES, CA  --  While the hit television show Ghost Hunters has recently gone through some changes in the shows cast after co-founder Grant Wilson announced he is leaving the show, SyFy has announced a couple new television shows, which will both be premiering this summer.?

The first of the newest paranormal television series to premier this summer on the SyFy Network is titled School Spirits. The television series School Spirits will tell true ghost stories of hauntings that take place in schools across the United States. The stories will be told in first person narratives through the testimonials of real students, teachers, parents and staff who have worked at haunted schools, telling the public about paranormal activity they encountered, blended with bone-chilling cinematic reenactments to further bring the haunting experiences to life. School Spirits is scheduled to premier in June of 2012.?

Also scheduled to premier on SyFy this summer is Paranormal Highway. The new SyFy television series Paranormal Highway puts the pedal to the metal as Jack Osbourne and Dana Workman investigate the most frightening claims of paranormal activity along America’s remote back roads. Fueled by eyewitness interviews and evidence collected by state-of-the-art equipment, Jack Osbourne and Dana Workman will travel alone, self-documenting their harrowing road trip while coming face-to-face with paranormal legends.?

Following the announcement that Grant Wilson has left the TAPS paranormal investigation team, and television series Ghost Hunters, SyFy said that Jason Hawes, the founder of TAPS, will continue to lead the group in the Ghost Hunters television show for another season in 2012, but it's not certain just how long the series will continue.?It's also rumored that Ghost Hunters International has one foot in the grave. SyFy has not confirmed that Ghost Hunters International will be cancelled, but they also haven't announced that the paranormal focused television series will continue for another season. Haunted Society Paranormal News will keep a close watch on this and update you in a later article once more information is available.?

SyFy has however announced that the television series Haunted Collector will continue for a second season. Haunted Collector is a docu-reality series that follows paranormal researcher John Zaffis and his team of paranormal investigators as they travel around the United States looking for objects that ostensibly house spirits. With the help of son Chris, daughter Aimee, lead researcher Beth Ezzo, and tech guy Brian, John Zaffis sweeps through the homes and workplaces of clients who want help dealing with the supernatural activity that's tormenting them.?

Using up-to-date technology to record electric voice phenomena ("EVP's"), strange movements, and electromagnetic energy throughout, the team zeroes in on the items that are the source of the spiritual commotion. Time is also spent talking to tenants, researching historical archives, and consulting with experts about found objects. With the owners’ permission, the potentially haunted items are relocated to the Zaffis Paranormal Museum in Stratford, Connecticut., in hopes that the paranormal activity will stop.?The second season of Haunted Collector is scheduled to premier on the SyFy channel in June of 2012, along with two of the newest paranormal series School Spirits and Paranormal Highway.?

What do you think about the new paranormal television series scheduled to premier on the SyFy channel? What do you think about Grant Wilson leaving Ghost Hunters and the chances of the show being cancelled, and also the rumors about Ghost Hunters International being cancelled.?

Been watching both show's and quite like them, I'm a bit dubious about some of the found objects on the Haunted Collector though.

cool. I like being agreed with!!!!  Ha-ha, lol

no offense taken.  I would like to see Chris come back to GH also.  I have quite a few questions about the Haunted Collector's museum.  Something is a little flaky there.

Sorry to disagree with you Pam. First, as for Grant and the Ghost Hunters crew. GH will turn out fine! Whn 1 of them are sick, they all stepped up with their game face's On! They are a Pretty good bunch of Investigators in their own right! 2nd, As or GHI, they have been lacking in viewership as of late! If Chrs Williams was to Return o GH along with Britt, that could only help GH that much more! and 3rd but final reply, Haunted Collector stil has the same problems they had before, They are still Boring!  Ha-ha, lol!  Please, I'm not being offensive nor do I mean any offense! Just stating my opinion. This Sept,Amy Bruni,of course, is Pregnant, so I definately see Chris Williams coming back! GHI is too resticted in some of their Investigations. GHI will be over!

I love GHI and hope it is not cancelled.  It is a unique look at the many places that we in the US will probably not get to see and investigate.  Ghost Hunters will suffer without Grant.  He was a buffer for Jason.  Haunted Collector  is growing on me.

Yes, I feelthe same way! I'm still trying to get out more too. The Club I belonged to,just were not doing enough! I'd like to go out each weekend if i could. I am trying to find a place near where I am from. Near the tri-city area in te Midwest here near Southern Ilinois,Southern Indianapolis and northern KY, around the Ohio River that is! O'kay!

Jerry, we are a learning. If anyone says they know everything about the paranormal then they would have to be dead.
If everything was known it wouldn't be paranormal, it would just be normal ;)

Seriously, I'm 54 and still learning. In fact if a day goes by that I don't learn something new I consider it a bad day.

I personally have never seen nor had any confrontation with any bad spirits, and never no, Evil entity's. Truthfully that maybe the only thing I am afraid of running into! Because they are out there, that there is no doubt! Usually when I hear the word Demonologist, I think of people like, Lorraine Warren, Chris Johnson And John Zaffis to name a few. Then of course there is Father Bob Bailey! They only get involved when another paranormal team thinks or believes a cleansing might be of use. So,I have to kind of Disagree with you alittle, New Bedford! With respect though! No disrespect intended! And Scott Blight, you are right, some of these spirits are just like they were in Human form,They have their good and bad days too! There is alot more depession in Society nowadays. I have seen only dsplaced spirits though! or one's that yet to cross over! I respect everyones opinion though,I want you all to know that! for me,I still have alot to Learn. I think knowledge is power. But, I'll never be that bright to know everything about the Paranormal!! Thanks,All of you!

I have noticed an increase in malevolent spirits in the last six months. Not demons, but shadow people and just malevolent spirits that feed off of peoples fears and negative thoughts.
I think it is becoming more prevalent due to the economy, job loss and the general  depression a lot of people are finding themselves in. Kind of a beacon in the dark to those that feed off of those emotions.
